My first post is about….

Its actually written this way in Nahjul Balagha in the Battle of Jamal section

After the war was over and the people who waged the war against Hazrat Ali (as) were defeated, Aisha was still present in one of the place nearby and Hazrat Ali (as) sent a message to her to leave the place immediately. But she was adamant.

So Hazrat Ali (as) sent Imam Hasan (as) to her to tell that if she doesnt leave then he (Hazrat Ali (as) ) will be forced to carry out the command which the Holy Prophet (saw) has given him authority to. The command was that if need arises then Imam Ali (as) has the right to divorce her in the absense of Holy Prophet (saw).

Remember that we are not talking here about any other human, but about Holy Prophet (saw) and his self which is Hazrat Ali (as). So he didn’t exercise the right he was given by the Prophet(PBUH).
